Welcome to the Practice Plus Group Hospital, Barlborough careers page, I’m Steve Booker, Hospital Director. The primary focus here at Barlborough is to work together with colleagues to deliver leading patient care to our NHS and private patients.
Typical of most Hospitals we have all the usual clinical departments of Outpatients, Ward, Theatre, Radiology, Physiotherapy and Pharmacy that are ably supported by Administration, our own Sterilisation Unit, Stores and Housekeeping so there are many varied roles and functions that all work together to provide our outstanding service.
The benefits of working at Barlborough include; excellent work life balance, clear career pathways, excellent training and development, cross functional working, a wide diversity of backgrounds and skills, emphasis on employee wellbeing, a real focus on continuous improvement and innovation, excellent clinical facilities, flexible working, clinical training, clinical leadership and governance structures.
At Barlborough we are incredibly proud of the high level of patient feedback we get, with over 99% of patients consistently saying they would recommend us to their family and friends. We are also very proud of a recent development at Barlborough where we introduced an offering to patients to have their Hip and Knee Replacements as a day case procedure, which has been received really positively by our patients and GPs alike and the feedback and clinical outcomes have supported this as a very effective and innovate service. Most recently we have been supporting the local NHS Trusts during their fight against the Covid pandemic by allowing their surgeons to bring urgent and elective procedures to Barlborough for their surgery.
Personally I have worked at Barlborough for over 15 years, it makes me proud to work at an excellent hospital with a great reputation in the area in which I live. As the patients we treat are all elective, they are coming to Barlborough by choice to have treatment to improve their quality of life, which in itself provides a real feel good factor for all of the staff working here.
At Practice Plus Group we take pride in our people and ensure that they have the skills and support to deliver exceptional patient care. A career with us means all of the following and more…
Opportunity: Our impressive range of services is great news for your career, as you can move and progress across our services and specialties.
